Special regulations for electives:
1. Undergraduate courses do not count toward the elective requirement for graduate students. Courses with an identity number starting with U can be applied toward the elective requirement for master’s students but not Ph.D. students. (Physical education and teacher education are not included).
2. No more than a total of 6 credits (with grades over 70) of graduate core courses taken during undergraduate study (beyond those needed to meet the undergraduate minimum requirement) may be applied toward the graduate course work requirement.
3. Students must complete a total of 9 credits of core courses, and 6 credits of electives (curriculum identity No. 524). No more than a total of 9 credits in other departments can be applied (unless approved by the advisor and the department chair).
Remarks:
1. 13 required credits include: Seminar (2 credits), Master Research (2 credits), 3 required core courses (3 credits for each course).
2. Core courses: Advanced Fluid Dynamics, Advanced Heat and Mass Transfer,Advanced Chemical Engineering Kinetics, Advanced Applied Mathematics for Chemical Engineering (Ⅰ) and (II) (Only one Applied Mathematics course can be applied toward the requirement if both courses are taken), Advanced Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics.
