Several chemical and petroleum companies pro-vide a number of fellowships for our undergraduate and graduate students. For MS students, top five of the class obtain financial supports from Ministry of Education for about NT$10,000/M; others receive NT$4,500/M. Most of them can also obtain support (up to NT$8,000/M) through working as research as-sistants of projects funded by the National Science Council of ROC. All PhD students are awarded sti-pends of NT$12,000/M from Ministry of Education. They can also be research assistants of projects fun-ded by NSC and are paid up to NT$28,000/M. Most of our PhD candidates can apply for part-time tea-ching assistants paid for about NT$20,000/M. In principle, all PhD students receive financial support from different sources for a total of over NT$20,000 /M.
