  • Research Topic

Optoelectronic Polymers
Our main focus is to control their electronic and optical properties of donor-acceptor polymers through chemical structure design, e.g. HOMO and LUMO energy levels, charge transport, band gaps and light-emitting characteristics. Furthermore, we manipulate their nanoscale morphology and crystalline structures in a thin-film or nanofiber state, and optimized these materials for the applications of light-emitting diodes, thin-film transistors, solar cells, memory devices and integrated soft electronics.

Block Copolymers
Block copolymers containing conjugated moieties or blocks are prepared through living polymerization. Controlling the nanostructures and morphologies through self-assembly and π-π interaction of conjugated blocks leads to the variation of electronic and optoelectronic properties for their applications in multifunctional fluorescence sensors, field-effect transistors and nonvolatile memory devices.

Polymer Composite Optical Film.
The main research interest is to develop optically transparent polymers and their metal oxide nanocomposites for the applications of high-refractive-index films, anti-reflective films, optical waveguide devices, LED encapsulation materials, and thermal stable transparent substrates.
